Imam Chebli is a native of Lebanon and attended one of the most prestigious Islamic institutions in the world, Al–Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he received his master's in Islamic Canonical Law. He has been the religious leader of ISCJ since 1986, where he makes Muslims and non–Muslims feel welcome. The depth of his faith and scholarship, his commanding dignity, and the warmth of his personality make him the most prominent and attractive figure of Islam in our region. In a period where the public understanding of Islam has grown greatly, we are fortunate to have Imam Chebli in our community. He has worked hard to build interfaith dialogue and public understanding, serving as a member of the North and South Brunswick Diversity Committee and of the regional clergy association. Most recently, New Jersey's Governor appointed Imam Chebli to the Governor's Leadership Summit on Diversity. He and I have a friendship and association that has lasted many years, especially since September 2001, and I greatly value our friendship. Imam Chebli is the proud husband of Mona Rich, and he is the loving father of their six children; Ahmad, Muhammad, Maryam, Mahmood, Khalid, and Marwa; and the loving grandfather to seven grandchildren.

Martin O’Malley was sworn in as governor of Maryland on January 16, 2007. O’Malley was born in Washington, D.C, and grew up in Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland, the eldest son in a family of six children. O’Malley attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. He participated in the renowned Eagle program, serving in tutoring programs and other efforts to provide assistance for the residents in the impoverished neighborhood surrounding the school. O’Malley received his bachelor's degree from Catholic University and a law degree from the University of Maryland. In 1986, while in law school, he was named by then-Congresswoman Barbara Mikulski as state field director for her successful primary and general election campaigns for the U.S. Senate. From 1987 to 1988 he served as a legislative fellow for Senator Mikulski, where he focused on obtaining federal funding for projects in Maryland. In 1988, O’Malley was appointed assistant state's attorney for the city of Baltimore. He served on the Baltimore City Council from 1991 to 1999, during which time he was chairman of the Legislative Investigations and Taxation and Finance Committees. In 1999, O’Malley was elected mayor of Baltimore. During his seven years as mayor, O’Malley worked with the city's citizens and public servants to make it a more beautiful, cleaner city where people want to live and businesses want to invest. As governor, O’Malley’s policies helped build the public school system, drive violent crime down to a 35 year low and create jobs for Maryland families. In his second term, O’Malley continued to rely on the tenets of transparency, accountability and progress-driven results to make state government work again for the people. O’Malley and his wife Katie, a District Court judge, have two daughters, Grace and Tara, and two sons, William and Jack. They are members of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Juan Pablo Osorio is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Through his service in the military he was introduced to Islam and began his journey to seeking the truth. He holds a bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown and is currently working with clients in Digital Marketing.

Imam Raouf is a graduate of the Aleemiyyah Institute of Islamic Studies (Karachi, 1975) and a graduate of Faculty of Usuluddin, Al-Azhar (Cairo, 1978). He has also served as an Islamic worker and teacher with the Guyana Islamic Trust (Guyana, 1979-2000) and held the position of Principal at Guyana Islamic Institute (1997-2000). In addition, he was Imam at Masjid Darul Qur'an, Bay Shore, NY (2000-2003). Presently he is serving as an Imam of Muslim Center of Middlesex County.

Azhar Azeez was born in HYDERABAD, INDIA and moved to US in 1995. He has a bachelors degree in Finance from the prestigious Osmania University and a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and currently is pursuing his PhD in Islamic studies. For 12 years he worked for major US corporations such as General Electric, American General Life and Capital One. He currently serves as the senior National Director of Islamic Relief USA which is one of the largest Muslim charity in the world. He is a member of I.S.N.A. Executive Council since 2002 and was elected as the vice president of I.S.N.A. twice in 2010 & 2012. He was elected as the President of I.S.N.A in 2014. He is the past President of the North Texas Islamic council which represents 35 Islamic Organizations in Dallas/Fort worth area. He is also the founder and the past President of Islamic Association of Carrollton, Texas one of the large mosques in the suburbs of Dallas, TX. He is a public and a motivational speaker who travels regularly around US for various local, regional and national Islamic organizations. He has made several media appearances and interviewed by many local and national TV stations, newspapers, magazines and radio programs. He is married and has two kids and currently resides in Dallas, TX.

Imam Hassan A. Amin, Imam here at the Homewood Campus, has also served as Imam at As-Saffat, Masjid Ul-Haqq and Masjid Us-Salaam. A community activist, his work includes aiding the homeless and domestic violence victims, and providing disaster relief. Imam Hassan completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University, receiving a B.A. in Social Sciences. Imam Hassan went on to receive his Master in Social work with a concentration in Families and Children from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2000. Now an instructor at Sojourner-Douglass College in Baltimore City, his courses include Sociology, Urban Psychology, and Community Organization, and more. He has been studying Islam for over 30 years, here in the United States and abroad. Imam Hassan is currently an Islamic Master degree student at American Open University. Since 2003, he served as Islamic Chaplain at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, providing spiritual care and training health professionals about treating for Muslim patients. Imam Hassan is the Executive Director for the Muslim Social Services Agency Inc., a board member of MercyUSA, and a Founding Board member of Muslimah Al-Nisaa. He has received several grants and fellowships for his community work, spoke as a panelist in many presentations and has work published. He was awarded the Baltimore City’s Mayor’s Citation in 2002 and 2006 and Proclamation in 2004. Aside from the remarkable things he does as part of his profession, Imam Hassan is extraordinary in many dimensions. He is a skilled martial artist. In fact, he was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2004. Plus, he drives a motorcycle! With a great sense of humor, Imam Hassan naturally connects to others. A very understanding person and great advisor, Imam Hassan never fails to make the students at Hopkins smile.

Haji Noor Deen Mi Guang Jiang is a renowned master of Arabic calligraphy. Born in 1963 in Shangdong province, China, he brings an immense learning in traditional thought and Islamic art to a modern audience, juxtaposing them in a new calligraphic style all his own, both Eastern and Western. Professor Dr. Anis Ahmad is a social scientist of international repute. He carries a Ph.D. from the Temple University, Pennsylvannia, USA.He has held numerous academic leadership positions both nationally and internationally. He is former Vice President of International Islamic University, Islamabad and former Dean, Faculty of Human Sciences, International Islamic University, Malaysia.
