Hackathon:

 

What is Hackathon?

 

A hackathon is a timed event in which individuals or teams made up of to collaborate intensively on creative projects, team/individual will invent and generate new ideas to solve the problems.

What happens in a Hackathon ?

The aim is to design, build and present the most innovative solution to a problem, and then pitch a final concept, prototype or presentation to the judges, you should be able to describe, demonstrate and explain your ideas to real world problem solving.

Note: Participants need to bring their own laptop to participate in the hackathon.

Benefits but not limited to:

Invent and generate new ideas, a space to explore different ideas, learn new skills and technologies, team formation/building, coding sessions and workshop will provide the foundation and learn as you move on, clearly define problem statement and categories to resolve, improve communication and leadership skills, new friends of your interest and skills.

Saturday, May 23th 2026 Youth AI Hackathon Ages 10-18 - Registration fee $25
Title Description Timings
Check-In & Arrival 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Welcome + Introduction Overview of the hackathon, schedule, and expectations. Introduction to AI in simple terms, examples of what teams can build, and explanation of judging criteria and prizes. 2:45 PM - 3:15 PM
AI Tools Training Hands-on introduction to beginner-friendly AI tools like Teachable Machine and Scratch. Participants will learn how to train simple models and build interactive projects. 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM
Team Formation Participants form teams, introduce themselves, and decide on a project idea. Teams should choose a simple, creative concept they can realistically build today. 4:00 PM - 4:15 PM
Building Session #1 Teams begin working on their projects by setting up tools, defining goals, and building initial features. Mentors will walk around to guide, answer questions, and help troubleshoot. 4:15 PM - 5:15 PM
Asr Break 5:15 PM - 6:00 PM
Building Session #2 Teams continue developing their projects, improving functionality and design. Focus on completing a working version and preparing for presentations. Mentors provide ongoing support. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Maghrib Break 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Team Presentations Each team presents their project, explaining their idea, how they used AI, and demonstrating their final product. 9:00 PM - 9:45 PM
Award Ceremony Judges announce the top teams and distribute prizes. Closing remarks and celebration of all participants. 10:00 PM - 10:30 PM
